Daniel Diaz Leyva is an attorney and businessman born in Miami in 1979. He was educated at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) with honors, and a Juris Doctor at St. Thomas University School of Law. He co-founded the law firm of Diaz Leyva & Gil PLLC, with a particular focus in the areas of real estate and finance. He also serves as outside general counsel to private companies, and advises clients on local and state government relations and issues. Prior to co-founding Diaz Leyva & Gil PLLC, he worked with Foley & Lardner LLP.
Diaz Leyva was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and is Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review rated AV Preeminent. He has also been recognized with the Ruth Shack Leadership Award from The Miami Foundation. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College, the Board of Directors of Anthem Bank & Trust, and serves as Executive Director of the Consejo Empresarial de America Latina (CEAL). He previously served on the Board of Directors of Florida Health Choices, CHARLEE Homes for Children, Banyan Health Systems, Latin Builders Association, Hispanic Business Initiative Fund and the University of Miami Institute for Cuban and Cuban American Studies.
He resides in Coral Gables with his wife Cristina and their two children, Daniel Jr. and Adriana.
