Raoul G. Cantero III was born in 1960 in Madrid, Spain to Cuban parents. His family moved to Miami, Florida where he grew up. He attended the Sisters of St. Joseph run St. Theresa School in Coral Gables, Florida and later graduated high School from the Marist-Brothers-run Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. He is a Florida State University and a Harvard University’s law school graduate.
In 2002, Governor Jeb Bush appointed Cantero to the Florida Supreme Court.
is a Florida lawyer and a former Justice of the Florida Supreme Court. He is regarded as the first Florida Supreme Court Justice of Hispanic descent.
In 2008, Cantero resigned from the Florida Supreme Court.
